Dark Knight Rises Posters Remind Us Avengers Isn’t The Only Epic Comic Movie This Summer. A Fire Will Rise Apparently   Leave a comment

Hey Everybody,

The, I’m hoping is beyond epic, Dark Knight Rises due in theaters on July 20th which marks the end of director Christopher Noland’s involvement in the world of the capped crusader along with Batman himself Christian Bale. I’m filled with lots of excitement to see Tom Hardy’s portrayal of the super villian Bane. Crazy shit is bound to happen in this film, as I know the writers are very knowledgeable in the Batman world and only one thing should happen to end this trilogy and story.

Can’t wait to see the film in IMAX and witness what could possibly be the first really great third movie in one timeline in DC film history. We all know it’ll be better than the last two attempts anyway.

Bane Fights Batman In The Streets and Tom Hardy Drops Subtle Hints Of Epicness To Come   Leave a comment

Hey Everybody,

We finally get a look at the full costume for Tom Hardy’s Bane in the up coming Dark Knight Rises. A few days later we get more pics popping up online of the Bat and Bane fighting which looks super rad. The outfit of Bane looking great with the big jacket off.

Recently Total film scored a few quotes on Hardy playing Bane during an interview:

He told them that Nolan called him up while he was shooting This Means War, to ask if he’d be happy playing the musclebound, mask-wearing villain in Rises: ‘Hang on a minute. You’re asking me to come round the world with you in a Batman movie, playing a villain, and the only downside to it is I have to wear a mask? Hmmm, let me think. I’ll get back to you… No, I’m fucking there, man! Anything you need.’”

As every fan that knows the Bane/Batman story already, with out spoilers for those that don’t know, they have some epic battles and epic injuries alike. When they asked Hardy about this he choose his words carefully: “Mmmmm… Good lead-in, but all I can say is that Chris has a plan up his sleeve that’s not at all disappointing. And that is a definite choice that’s watertight in every respect.

“I think Bane’s fucking cool so I’m really excited to play him. It’s not the guy in Joel Schumacher’s film, but it shouldn’t disappoint fanboys” So, does he feel any pressure living up to Heath Ledger’s portrayal as one Batman’s arch-nemeses? “No, none at all,” he insisted. “Brilliant actor, brilliant work – that’s it. I’ve got a job to do.“It’s the same with Mad Max and Mel Gibson. I’m not here to engage in a competition with their talent. It’s to play the character that I’ve been given.”

And he’s not bothered about wearing a mask either: “Any time you put something over your face, you’re going to adopt a personality and a physicality that has nothing to do with acting. It allows a performance to be free.”

Very much looking forward to the final chapter in Chris Noland’s Batman Trilogy. Hoping to see some epic battle and drama for the finale.  I’m sure Noland won’t disapoint.

Warner Brothers Pictures Press Release Reveals THE DARK KNIGHT RISES Villains!!!   Leave a comment

Hey Everybody,

Chris Nolan has given us a realistic/gritty take on the Batman universe while staying true to certain comic storyline continuity, I really enjoyed Batman Begins and The Dark Knight. I thought that the Nolan Brothers and David Goyer fleshed out a great script, the action was kick ass, the villains were dark as is the storyline. After the success of Dark Knight it was no surprise when Chris Nolan finally signed on for a third and final go at the directing chair on Dark Knight Rises. After months and months of crazy casting rumors and heated discussions all over the web on who the villains would be in the new film, Warner Brothers Picture finally lets out a tit bit to keep the fan boys and girls at bay. Here’s the full press release below:

Warner Bros. Pictures announced today that Anne Hathaway has been cast as Selina Kyle in Christopher Nolan’s “The Dark Knight Rises.” She will be starring alongside Christian Bale, who returns in the title role of Bruce Wayne/Batman. Christopher Nolan stated, “I am thrilled to have the opportunity to work with Anne Hathaway, who will be a fantastic addition to our ensemble as we complete our story.”

In addition, Tom Hardy has been set to play Bane. Nolan said, “I am delighted to be working with Tom again and excited to watch him bring to life our new interpretation of one of Batman’s most formidable enemies.” Nolan will direct the film from a screenplay he wrote with Jonathan Nolan, from a story by Christopher Nolan and David S. Goyer. Nolan will also produce the film with his longtime producing partner, Emma Thomas, and Charles Roven. “The Dark Knight Rises” is slated for release on July 20, 2012. The film will be distributed worldwide by Warner Bros. Pictures, a Warner Bros. Entertainment Company.

Well, there you go. On the Third Nolan Batman we get to see Anne Hathaway as Catwoman and Tom Hardy as Bane.

(if you haven’t seen Tom Hardy in “Bronson” I urge you to take a look at that film. his performance is astounding. I can really see him as Bane after seeing “Bronson”). Not sure about Hathaway as Catwoman but Nolan has done a great job on the characters so far, beside the weird casting on both the female love interests. Holmes was just a little off compared to the rest of the stellar cast and her replacement Maggie Gyllenhaal seems to be the least “good looking” she’s ever been in any movie even though her acting was great in her small role. I’m sure Nolan will give us a superb finally to his Dark Knight Trilogy, I know I’ll be in the theater seats come July 20th 2012 to see Dark Knight Rising, the spectacle that will try and top 2008’s The Dark Knight. I’m very interested on how they plan do that. Very interested.
