Besides the poster art above and a few quick trailer clips we haven’t seen much in the way of blood and strait carnage from the new Conan yet. The Red Band trailer below finally gives us an idea of the level of violence and mayhem we are in for.
Except for the absolutely terrible terrible music overlaided into the trailer, the look of the blood spray and battles seems pretty rad. I think I even like the cheesy humor level of the first lines there. I definatly am interested to see these moments in context to the script I read two and a half years ago. It’s going to be hard for a lot of older fanboys to accept Jason Momoa as Conan, growing up with Schwarzenegger in the main role has locked some peoples idea of what the character is. If those people let the past be the past and enjoy the fact that this is the first appearance of Conan on the big screen since 1985’s Red Sonja, they might enjoy the new interpretation just a little.
