A Great Day For Marty Mcfly Fans. It’s Official, Hot Toys To Do Back To The Future 1/6 Scale Line.   Leave a comment

Hey Everybody,

A few months ago this popped up online hinting that Hot Toys was on the verge of announcing having rights to the Back To The Future license. There was much speculation that it might be a fan made teaser and the prospect of actually getting high quality licensed 1/6 BTTF figure was a huge pipe dream for fans.

Then this pic was posted a week ago that shows  the Hot Toys 2012/2013 catalog and we see that Back To The Future is officially in the game for 1/6 scale now. I’d be in for a Marty, Doc and 1/6 scale Delorean most definitely. If they really go to town and actually make the Delorean I foresee some exploding heads in the collector geek community. We can only all dream at this point, good news at any rate though.

Hot Toys Nicholson 1/6 Scale Joker Is Going To Be Complete And Total Awesomeness.   Leave a comment

Hey Everybody,

Yesterday I posted some pics of the Keaton ’89 Batman that’s on it’s way from Hot Toys in 2012. So I figured today I’d bookend it with a look at the official images of The Jack Nicholson Joker from the same 1989 Tim Burton film. It really looks like an amazing piece of pop art waiting to take its place on many shelves right next to the Keaton. Wow, what they can do with plastic, paint and fabric now a days, just super. “Wait till they get a load of me…”

Enjoy the utter madness below.

Preview Pics Of Hot Toys ’89 Batman DX Figure Sure To Please Collectors and Bat Nerds.   Leave a comment

Hey Everybody,

Funny how things are so cyclical with pop culture. The 80′s are back with avengeance in 2012.

Hot Toys revealed their 1/6 scale Nicholson Joker and Burton Batmobile at Comic-con in July this year, but the Keaton Batman figure was nowhere to be seen. Collectors were nervous that this meant issues might have arisen that would delay release. With the reveal of the official preview pics, Bat geeks can breath a sigh of relief, this shit looks spot on. I’ll let the abundance of pictures do the talking. Enjoy.

Till Next Time. Stay Tuned.

Hot Toys Indiana Jones Movie Masterpiece Series DX 05 1/6 Scale Figure Official Pictures Released. The Sculpt Still Looking A Bit Off To ME   Leave a comment

Hey Everybody,

Hot Toys finally releases official pictures of their Indiana Jones MMS DX 05 1/6 Scale Figure. I think in most shots the likeness to Harrison Ford is lacking for me., maybe they’ll work on it a bit before the release later this year. Anyhow, enjoy the pictures of Hot Toys first MMS figure of our favorite archeologist.

Hot Toys 10th Anniversary Exhibition Tokyo Event Announcements And Pics From The Floor   Leave a comment

Hey Everybody,

The collectibles market has exploded with companies in the last 15 years; Some started out great with new licenses and ended up cheap and well behind the times.

Others grew and push the medium of the action figure and collectible to new heights. Hot Toys out of Honk Kong is one company that has risen to the top, boosting the 1/6 scale figure to the high level pop art.

Over December 24th-26th Hot Toys had thier 10th anniversary expo in Tokyo Japan featuring displays of their Movie Master Piece line of 1/6 scale figures, future present and past.

Exclusives flyer ad from Japan for the show.

Batman Demon is half of a two pack with The Scarecrow below.

“Beat It” video Michael Jackson looks great for any Jackson fans out there

A lot of new license announcement at the show, new Marvel movie stuff, video game Metal Gear Solid,

the new Pirates of the Caribbean movie, Disney keeping the money ship sailing,

director Zack Snyder’s new one Sucker Punch, hopefully the story holds up to the eye candy trailers. The character design is cool, we’ll see what the flick plays like.

Hot Toys keeps amazing with their choice of  older licenses and the level they go to get likenesses of actors as of late.

There were also lots of great 1/6 scale figures were on display that had already been announced, but not all seen up to this point.

Marvel’s Ghost Rider movie figure looks cool. The flaming head turned out good.

Stallone’s Barnie Ross figure from the Expendables. Hot Toys always loving their Sly.

The two in one DX Bruce Lee from Enter The Dragon looks super sick. Can’t wait.

Platoon’s Barnes is looking fantastic. Loving that Hot Toys got the license right.

The 1984 Terminator T-800. Really excited for this one, been waiting for  years for a  proper Tech Noir club Arnie.

Some big surprises at the show including a prototype for the new Indiana Jones 1/6 scale DX figure.

The likeness looks off to me, but being the prototype hopefully they will refine the features to closer resemble Harrison Ford.

I love the map room set and back drop, looks good.

As always the last few years, new Iron man stuff is always on display.

Mark V with all the bell and whistles including suit in briefcase form.

One of the bigger surprises was an unpainted prototype of the 1/6 scale Iron Monger figure from the first movie on display. Hope we get a Jeff Bridges head in the set as well, that would be nice.

Detailed picture of  the Alice figure from the new Resident Evil movie.

The likeness To Milla Jovovich is pretty good I think. All the accessories and weapons look great in classic Hot toys style.

As they have already shot two weeks of the new reboot of the Spiderman franchise, with new director, new cast and all new direction with the character it seems…

the absolute strangest time to release a Spiderman figure from the Sam Raimi film series. (I loved Spiderman 1 & 2.  3 was a huge disappointment to put it nicely; A huge pill of steaming shit that the studio should have kept their greasy fat fingers out of and let the director they hired for the third time do his job, to put it more truthfully). I guess regardless, the figure looks great and hopefully the fans of the Raimi’s incarnation of Spidey are pleased with the release.

The new Thor movie is looking better and better as we see more footage and pictures of the character and world he inhabits.

The likeness of Chris Hemsworth is right on to me, the armor looks sick and a great look at his helmet to boot. A really great looking piece. Can’t wait for the movie.

The Captain American movie figure official license announcement

Sucker Punch announcement

A great long awaited surprise for Crow Fan’s

And finally the official press release for the ’89 Batman licenses…

Here comes the highly expected Batman (1989) movie license!

Amid much negotiation and many difficulties, Hot Toys is finally granted the likeness right of the renowned actor Jack Nicholson to produce the collectible figure of his character in the movie.

As many ones may know, it is very difficult to get it and it is only granted for Hot Toys, thanks to the quality standard being recognized! Though it is difficult to get it, it is worth because we can bring such great collectible figure to our fans! So fans, please stay tuned our update in 2011!

Till Next Time. Stay Tuned.

Hot Toys Brings The Original T-800 To Life In 1/6 Scale. And Boy Does That Shit Look Nice   Leave a comment

Hey everybody,

The original Terminator is still a great film, It kicks the shit out of that McG crap a few years ago. In 1984 we first got a taste of  director James Cameron’s real feel for kinetic storytelling, a great focus on design and vision on pushing the boundaries of special effects.

The movie also gave us Arnold Schwarzenegger as the cyborg killer from the future T-800 Terminator.

Hot Toys out of Honk Kong has just announced the 1984 version of the T-800 in 1/6 scale.figure  As usual the detailing is super sick.

The outfit is looking tight from the Tech Noir club scene, screen accurate down to the last detail.

The detailing is getting better on every figure hot toys has been producing in the last few years.

This Head sculpt looks nuts. Perfect likeness of the 1984 Arnold Schwarzenegger. Head Sculpted by Yulli, Head Painted by JC. Hong , Head Art Directed by JC. Hong. Absolutely Incredible.

They really seen to give their Schwarzenegger figures special attention. obviously big fans of the Terminator series at Hot Toys. This shit kick some serious ass, much like Arnold in many of his movies.

As usual I can’t wait to see what Hot Toys have in store for the future.

till next time
